Completion Ceremony

Repair work on the entire Konnichian tea room complex began in 2013, and continued for over seven years. The work was recently completed, and on June 11, 2020, a Shunkosai "Construction Project Completion Ceremony" was held in the newly restored Totsutotsusai. The Head Family members, as well as representatives of the Kyoto Prefectural Government agency which undertook the repair work, attended the ceremony.

In his greeting speech, Iemoto expressed his gratefulness that the work was successfully completed, and his thanks to all those who made it possible. He presented a letter of appreciation and a commemorative gift to the Kyoto Prefectural Board of Education's Education Division Chief, HASHIMOTO Kozo, whose representative, MORISHITA Mamoru (Kyoto Prefectural Education Bureau Counseling Department, Cultural Properties Preservation Section Chief) was in attendance and received these from the hands of Iemoto on his behalf.
